4) Garlic.


A ‘tadka’ or ‘tempering’ to your food often makes it more delicious. But more than that, it even helps in fighting infections as well. Due to its ability to slow down the hardening of arteries and helping in lower blood pressure, garlic should be a sure shot item to your daily meals. Its immune-boosting properties come from a heavy concentration of sulfur-containing compounds, such as allicin.

5) Ginger.


Hey, hey! Some great news to our tea lovers. The fresh smell, while adding ginger to your tea, brings joy to your face, and has some health benefits. A standard home remedy for the prevention of colds and other illnesses is that the supplements containing allicin help maintain proper body temperature.

6) Spinach.


Going back to the ’90s when spinach was children’s favorite due to the cartoon named ‘Popeye,’ the demand for it was progressively high. Due to its richness in Vitamin C and numerous antioxidants and beta carotene, it can even fight infections.
